Key notes
- In an article X, the CEO of CryptoQuant noted that crypto investors are becoming value investors.
- This suggests that the era where digital assets were synonymous with speculation is gradually coming to an end.
- TradFi is pushing for the tokenization of stocks and private assets.
Ki Young Ju, CEO of CryptoQuant, published an article in X suggesting that the current decline in cryptocurrency prices is masking a shift toward value investing. He claimed that this new era is driven by the integration of traditional finance (TradFi), such as tokenized real-world assets (RWA). This comes as the price of Bitcoin falls to around $84,000 from its October high of $126,000, and Ethereum (ETH) trades below $2,700.
TradFi continues to integrate Blockchain technology
For a long time, digital assets have been synonymous with speculation, but Ki Young Ju, CEO of CryptoQuant, believes that this era is slowly coming to an end. On X, he claimed that the market is undergoing a necessary but underestimated transformation. According to him, “crypto investors are becoming value investors”.
Young Ju pointed out that even though prices are falling, the fundamentals are the strongest they have been in the last seven years. In fact, he says he hasn’t seen fundamentals and prices move that far apart.

Amid these prospects, there is greater integration of TradFi with decentralized finance (DeFi). He cited the example of former BlackRock IBIT team members who launched HelloTrade.
It is worth noting that HelloTrade is a decentralized exchange designed for 24/7 trading of tokenized stocks and bonds. Robinhood is also moving toward tokenized private equity, as previously announced by its CEO, Vlad Tenev. Then there’s Strategy, the famous business intelligence and software company that has made Bitcoin acquisition a hobby.
The CEO of CryptoQuant noted that all these developments suggest that the TradFi system is building the infrastructure for a new financial world.
TradFi investors launch global drive towards tokenization
Globally, there is a strong tokenization movement in the TradFi system, marking a revolutionary turning point.
At Hong Kong FinTech Week, held earlier in November, Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) chief executive Eddie Yue revealed a five-year tokenization plan.
He described it as an essential pillar for the development of the city’s financial sector. The roadmap includes more than 40 initiatives in four areas: data infrastructure, artificial intelligence (AI), resilience and financial tokenization.
Additionally, SEGG Media unveiled a $300 million digital asset strategy that combines an 80/20 crypto treasury model with validator revenue and tokenized sports assets.
