Lido has launched community staker applications identified on Ethereum Mainnet, creating a verification track which gives individuals priority terms in the community implementation module of the protocol.
By Lido, ICS uses a point system through experience, commitment and humanity. Applicants must reach minimum thresholds in each category and reach at least 15 points to qualify.
The program is designed to tilt the capacity of the CSM to independent operators after the opening without authorization earlier this year has brought a wave of registrations. Lido reports that around 450 operators registered after the quarter of work without January authorization, which reduced the place so that smaller configurations deposit validator keys.
ICS candidates who pass the unlock parameters of the revision define for CSM V2, including a share of 6% on the first 16 keys, an obligation of 1.5 ETH for the first key, priority deposits for the first 10 keys and wider performance beaches acceptable compared to the track without permission by default.
Lido says that the application is based on an identification framework based on ecosystem data. Proof of experience can come from lists of ethstaker or solo stakecat, participation in Techne and SSV operator programs in Obol and CSM historical activity. The commitment is based on high measures and verified contributions via Gitpoap.
Proof of humanity for Ethereum’s intention
The proof of humanity includes verification via a passport and human circles, converted into ICS points via an interface dedicated inside the passport which produces a unique humanity score aligned with the ICS model. According to Lido, Human Passport has more than 2.2 million users and ICS weighting increases certain references where the program seeks higher confidence for the identification of staker.
CSM remains without permission, participation without ICS is always available and the new process does not replace open access. ICS works as an additional V2 operator type, with differentiated parameters that aim to transport the early capacity of verified individuals while preserving controls around performance and validator’s strike policies.
Applications are open now. The first round of revision ends on October 1, with approved addresses planned to be nominated on the list of integrated circuits on the chain through easy track governance towards October 8, after which operators can claim the type of ICS node in the CSM interface.
The launching calendar is linked to CSM V2, which, according to Lido, will increase the share limit on the part of the 5%community, widening the part of the participation led by the module once the upgrade has completed. Lido has supervised change as a means of extending the place for community stakers while keeping the system open to all operators by the path without authorization.
Lido has reiterated the rating categories and the ICS objectives on its social networks, noting that the V2 entrance doors will allow parameters to be assigned by group of operators, with ICS as the first door of this type.
The application flow goes via the CSM widget, with an option to connect the main operating address, added five support addresses for additional evidence and include contact information. If it is approved, ICS status will display an estimated date for the next update of the list.
If they are not approved, candidates can revise and submit again for a later turn, and all validators can continue to operate on the track without authorization in parallel.
Advantages of CIs for community stakers
The LIDO positions the track as a mechanism to transport early deposits and costs to people who can verify that they perform independent operations, using external evidence to reduce the risk of SYBIL while preserving confidentiality through controls based on identification information rather than disclosure of identity.
The first update of the list and the V2 cover will determine the speed with which ICS operators see the deposits go through the priority queue, then modifications to share the fees and obligations will apply to these initial keys such as configured.
Lido’s directives focus on approvals of the first round and Easy Track action on October 8, defining the next steps for candidates preparing to execute validators under ICS parameters once the upgrade live.
